So many exciting things are going on this spring we just had to share. Here are some updates from Cammack Station.
Now Open Daily
We recently went to our spring and summer hours, so you can now enjoy Cammack Station any day of the week from 11am – 9pm. That means sunsets on the patio and late night ice cream runs after ball games. As many of you may know, Cammack can get pretty busy and exciting when the weather gets nice. If you’re looking for a quieter day at Cammack Station, try a Monday or Tuesday. Now that we’re open seven days a week, you can.
Sundae’s Homemade Ice Cream Flavors
Many of our ice cream flavors are always in stock, however since the ingredients are real and fresh, some of the flavors change with the seasons. That’s right, Sundae’s makes all of our ice cream by hand using natural ingredients. That is one of the many reasons it tastes so amazing. You can always stay up to date on our website. See our current flavors.
Sunday Car Shows Announced
We’re super excited to host a car show each month from May through October. These shows are organized by the local car club, Twisted Wrenches. They have been doing these car shows since 2010 and the best part is that they do it all for charity. How cool is that? Entry fees are only $12 or only $10 if you bring a food pantry donation. There are also limited booths available at these events for $10 each. For questions about entering or exhibiting you can contact Mindy with Twisted Wrenches at 765-760-6613. See our full events schedule.
Annual Tractor Show will be July 8th
Benefiting the White River Heritage Antique Tractor Association, our annual tractor show is for anyone with a tractor worth showing off. Our parking lot will be full of antique and fancy tractors. If you have a fun tractor then please consider entering the show. If not, come on by July 8th to see all of the fun tractors. The kids LOVE this event each year so be sure to save the date!
It’s a great time to visit Cammack Station as the days get warmer! Our patio is open for the season (weather permitting) and we’re ready to see you! Cammack and see us soon!
We’re so excited to officially announce our new ice cream vendor, Sundae’s Homemade Ice Cream. Finding our new ice cream vendor has been quite the journey. It has taken time, research, and lots of taste testing. Once we tasted the ice cream from Sundae’s, it was love at first bite. Sundae’s Ice Cream is a family owned and operated ice cream and coffee parlor located in northern Indianapolis.
We’re happy to be working with another Indiana business and one that has a proven record of making award winning homemade ice cream. In fact, Sundae’s has been in business for over 30 years. Their ice cream includes a high butter fat and all natural ingredients which are just two of many reasons it tastes so good. Each flavor is made one batch at a time so they can ensure it comes out exactly the way they want it and tasting delicious. These were important elements in our selection process for a new vendor but to be totally honest…it all came down to taste. We know that once you taste the new ice cream at Cammack Station, you’ll agree.
“Our Mission is simple, we just want to make the best ice cream possible.” – David Buckner, Sundae’s Homemade Ice Cream
We’re thrilled to have Sundae’s Ice Cream at Cammack Station because we speak the same language when it comes to our goals with customer experience. Like Cammack Station, Sundae’s Ice Cream wants to provide the best experience possible. They pour their heart and soul into making and maintaining the highest quality when it comes to homemade ice cream and delicious gourmet coffee. Sundae’s only uses the highest quality cream, nuts, fruits, caramels, chocolates, and candies all of which are sourced both locally and all over the world. They work directly with suppliers so they can be sure they are getting the very best. The dairy comes from an Indiana creamery while other ingredients are best sourced from countries that specialize in a product. For example, the vanilla is literally purchased directly from a vendor in Madagascar. Talk about top notch quality!
David Buckner, co-owner of Sundae’s Homemade Ice Cream, pointed out why Cammack Station is a good fit for Sundae’s, “When we decide whether to work with a vendor or not our number one priority is to ensure whether they can properly handle the product. Our ice cream is the best, and we rely on our vendors to extend that quality to their customers. Cammack Station gets it and we’re excited to have Sundae’s Homemade Ice Cream there.”
We’ve made some other changes in our ice cream menu including our new soft serve frozen vanilla custard and our new and improved strawberry shortcake. We hope you Cammack and See Us Soon to try our new Sundae’s Homemade Ice Cream and our other delicious desserts.
It’s a new month which means it’s a new featured burger of the month at Cammack Station. This month we’re excited to showcase The Cammack Melt, Cammack Station’s March burger of the month. If you like, cheese, this burger is for you.
First off, it’s important to note that we’ve upgraded our Angus beef patty. We think you’ll find our new patties even juicier and more delicious than our past ones with an improved texture. Our burgers are one of our favorite items on the menu so ensuring we have the best products is important to us.
So, the Cammack Melt. We really think this burger is best on our Texas Toast but you can get it on a regular bun as well. We top our grilled Angus Beef patty with both American an Swiss Cheeses, lettuce, tomatoe, and our very own homemade Russian dressing. The combination of these flavors really gives the burger a perfect balance but if you’re someoen who likes a little spice go for pepperjack cheese or add some jalepenos. Another popular choice is to add grilled onions. Either way this thing is delicious!
This burger will be featured all month long in March so be sure to give it a try the next time you’re in Cammack Station. Our staff will love you for it, so Cammack and See Us soon!

Happy New Year! We wanted to get the new year started with an extra kick. What better way than to incorporate jalapeno poppers with our burger of the month. Meet, The Big Popper, our January Burger of the Month and the first cousin of our Cammack Cheesy Jalapeno Burger. This juicy goodness packs just enough heat to leave your taste buds tingling without a need to dial the fire department.
Our jalapeno poppers are available on our menu as a side item. They are made from hollowed out jalapeno peppers and stuffed with a creamy nacho cheese. They are breaded and deep fried and absolutely delicious. So, to incorporate them onto our specialty burger we first smear a dollop of cream cheese directly on our grilled beef patty. Then we throw a slice of cheddar cheese, grilled onions, and a couple deep fried jalapeno poppers on top. The cheesy poppers explode in your mouth when you bite into the burger so we haven’t included any extra condiments on the burger. However, if you enjoy dipping this thing is amazing accompanied with a side of either salsa, sour cream, or our signature homemade ranch sauce. If you’re looking to add a little more heat? Order yours with pepper-jack cheese instead or add some extra jalapenos on top. We love it when you get creative and customized your own burgers.
This burger will be featured during the entire month of January so we hope you’ll pop on in and try The Big Popper (see what we did there – hee hee). We’re planning to remain open all winter long but only Wednesday through Sunday, closed Mondays and Tuesdays. If you haven’t signed up for our email newsletter be sure you do. Cammack and see us soon!
We work hard to come up with unique and interesting burger ideas. It’s our goal to bring a unique and special burger to you each month. It’s a lot of fun and it gives us a great way to learn about your taste buds. For example, people loved the Campfire Burger so much, we decided to add it to our permanent menu. For December, we decided to get really crazy and try something really different. We thought, why not let our burgers try on a new bun for some added fun. Then we thought, forget the bun altogether. Let’s use a donut. Yep, our December burger of the month is The Donut Burger.
What’s on a donut burger?
So you’re probably thinking, “Cammack Station, you’ve gone nuts!” But if you’re completely honest with yourself, you’re also quite curious, a little confused, and now somewhat hungry. In fact, you’re probably trying to imagine what a thick warm juicy burger tastes like when combined with a sugary sweet plain yeast donut. Well, take our word for it….it’s STUPID. Stupid good that is. Now you can customize this burger any way you want but it comes standard with our thick burger patty, bacon, grilled onions, pepper jack cheese, and of course…the yeast donut. We highly recommend the pepper jack cheese because it creates the most amazing combination of sweet and heat that make your taste buds do a happy dance. Our next best suggestion would be the cheddar cheese but please don’t skip the bacon. You’d really be missing out. We don’t include any other sauces or toppings but if you’re feeling courageous, go for it.
Use the hashtag #cammackdonutburger
This thing is so crazy it’s bound to result in some of you taking pictures of your delicious donut burger. We’d love to see those pictures. Post them on our Facebook wall (be sure to like our page too while you’re at it), upload them to Twitter (@cammackstation), put them on Instagram (@cammackstation). Use the hashtag #cammackdonutburger so we can see and possibly share your pictures with world (at least our Cammack Station world).
What are you waiting for? Go get a donut burger so you can at least say you tried it.
Greetings Cammack Station fans. Each month we work hard to get creative and adventurous in the burgers we offer. Last month, our Campfire Burger was such a hit, we’ve decided to add it to our regular menu. For November, we’ve got a burger special that will no doubt raise some eyebrows, and hopefully some taste buds. There is just something about the combination of sweet and spicy. Another combination is weird and unorthodox and those are the words some folks will no doubt use to describe our November Burger Special: The Sticky Burger. While definitely weird and unorthodox it is in fact sweet and spicy but it’s also amazing and delicious. We promise!
What’s on The Sticky Burger?
Like all of our burgers, you can order this one on either grilled Texas toast or a sweet and buttery brioche bun. On top of our third pound Angus beef patty is crispy bacon and pepper jack cheese. On top of all that goodness we put a healthy slathering of our peanut butter sauce. Yes, you are reading that correctly: bacon, pepper jack cheese, and peanut butter sauce. Sounds strange but peanut butter is becoming quite the popular ingredient to use on sandwiches and burgers. So, we’re giving it a go at Cammack Station in our November Burger Special. By the way did you know that the United States is leading exporter of peanut butter. Americans consume $800 million annually. We’re just doing our part.
Feel free to get all custom on this burger special. We love it when you do. Order it with other toppings such as pickles (sounds weird but seriously…it’s good) or give it some extra heat by adding jalapenos. If you’re not into spicy, skip the pepper jack cheese and try one of our other cheeses: American, Swiss, or cheddar. If you want to get really adventurous and add a fried egg giving you an alternate twist to our Rooster Burger.

We would like to share our latest update to Cammack Station’s seasonal hours with you. We have had an amazing year since reopening in March. THANK YOU for that. Your support has been incredible and without you we would be lost. Now as we enter the cooler months we have had a lot of folks asking, “are you closing for winter?” We are so excited to report that we will NOT be closing this winter. In fact, if you’ve been out to Cammack lately, you’ve probably seen some sneak peeks at a few decorations we’ve got brewing up for the holiday season. More to come on that later.
Cammack Station’s seasonal hours starting Nov 2nd.
Starting Monday November 2nd, we’ll be closed on Monday’s and Tuesdays but will remain open Wednesday through Sunday from 11am – 8pm. Want to hear something really exciting about that? For the first time in Cammack Station history, we’re going to let you borrow Cammack Station for your own private parties on those days. Yep, Cammack Station is officially available to rent out for private parties on Mondays and Tuesdays until we go back to being open 7 days a week (sometime next year when it warms up). So if this is something you’re interested in you can contact us by filling out the form below or just call the restaurant and ask for our General Manager, Shane Shafer.
We just wanted to take a moment to officially welcome our new general manager, Shane Shafer, to the Cammack Station family. Even though he’s been hanging around for a few weeks getting to know our staff, recipes, and customers it was only this past week that he officially started as our new General Manager. We are so excited to have him on our team and love all of his new ideas.
A little about Shane:
Shane has only been in Indiana for about five years now and loves it. Though he was born in San Diego, California he spent most of his life growing up in Oregon. He brings to our team nearly 10 years of experience working in the restaurant business. He first got into the business after he was inspired by his best friend who was a chef. So inspired in fact, that he went to work for him where he claims he “learned the ropes” of the business. Shane’s passion for the kitchen started long before those days though. His first inspiration was his grandma, Gannie. He started helping her in the kitchen when he was 10 and it was downhill from there. He was once the only guy in his home economics class.
Shane loves the midwest and he really loves midwestern style comfort food. Naturally, he’s excited to be working at Cammack Station for that very reason. When we asked him what he loves about Cammack he added that he loves retro anything, including old cars and diners. Lot’s of his reasons for being intrigued about Cammack can be found on the walls and on the outside of our old fueling station building. If you’ve been here before you totally get what we’re saying. If you haven’t, just check out our gallery on Instagram for a glimpse.
We also asked Shane what his favorite part of working in a restaurant like Cammack Station is. His reply was just another reminder why we hired him and why we’re so excited about what he’s going to bring to our team. “I love serving people and I love creating relationships with them. Everybody that walks in that door has a story and I want to know it. The kids are amazed when they walk in and I love seeing their little faces full of wonder and joy when they come in. I want our customers to have an amazing experience when they come to Cammack Station.”
Next time you’re in Cammack, be on the lookout for Shane Shafer and give him a warm welcome. He can’t wait to get to know you.
Last night was a bittersweet day for our Cammack Station family. You see, Kelly and Glenn Elliot have been a part of our American restaurant since we got things started. Kelly has been our General Manager for a few years overseeing operations while Glenn was one of our masterminds in the kitchen. He was integral in helping us get many of our signature recipes perfected. This past weekend they finished their last shifts and in a week they’ll be off on a new adventure as they retire and move out west. We’re incredibly sad to see them go but we are wishing them the best in their new adventures while they enjoy retirement.
Since we’re open seven days a week this time of year, it was hard to find a good time to bring our Cammack Station employees, past and present, together to give them a proper celebration. We closed the restaurant this past Sunday a couple hours early so we could do just that. We know Glenn and Kelly appreciated being able to celebrate with everyone and we appreciate you letting us take a short break from normal hours to do that.
You’re probably wondering, “now what?” Since Kelly and Glenn gave us plenty of notice to their westward adventure, we were able to bring in our new General Manger and give him some great transition time. If you’ve been in Cammack lately it’s possible you’ve already met him. He’s quite the social butterfly and we’re thrilled to have him on board. In the coming days, you can read all about our new GM, Shane Shafer, right here on the blog.
We can’t thank Kelly and Glenn enough for all they’ve done for Cammack over the years. We want to wish them the very best. Enjoy retirement you two.
It’s a new month which means we get to introduce our October Burger of the Month, The Campfire Burger. This one is completely inspired by the time of the year. October is when the leaves turn and the air gets crisp. Nights start getting cooler and the firepits get going. Who doesn’t love a good campfire in the Fall?
Our Campfire Burger might require you to grab a fork. We make sure we drench this one in our very own campfire sauce. We can’t tell you what’s in that sauce (not because it’s illegal…just a secret) but what we can tell you is that it creates an explosion of flavor in your mouth. It’s sweet, tangy, BBQ’y, and smokey. Definitely what makes this burger special.
This specialty burger comes with our 100% Angus beef patty topped with bacon, cheddar, grilled onions, and of course that campfire sauce all on our Texas toast. If you’re looking for the perfect side to go with it, we recommend none other than a cup of our homemade chili. It’s the perfect for a fall day.
